Peach Bliss

I have two combos on this card. The flourish is done in peach parfait and Cajun Craze. The butterfly is peach parfait & Cherry cobbler. I am lovin' the cherry cobbler combo.

Rubber Inkspiration Tips: 

• Rock-n-roll - Ink stamp in lightest color first. Roll the inked stamp on the second darker ink pad holding the stamp at an angle to only hit the edges of teh stamp with the darker color.
• The seam binding is gathered by fraying the end, pulling on thread t gather. The "gathered ends are held in place with glue dots.

Baja Birthday

I used a Mojo Monday sketch from July 2010 with the Friends Never Fade Stamp Set. This card features using markers directly on the rubber. This technique is great to obtain multi-colored images. I pulled the colors from the Greenhouse Gala DSP. I love this cute retro print.

Rubber Inkspiration Tips:

• Color images using the brush tip of the marker, starting with the lightest color first.
• Stamp first, then Punch. Use your punch upside down to make a "window" and "crop" your image.

Petal Dress

There are so many wonderful, creative stampers out there. One of my favorites is Sharon Field. I first saw this idea on her blog. Using the Build a blossom stamp set , she created a dress with the large and small poetal stamps. I thought it was very clever, so here is my attempt. The card does not show it very well but the white layer is also embossed and there is white taffeta ribbon on the bottom.

Vellum Overlay

I got this great idea from Tami White. I haven't used vellum in a long time. It adds such elegance to cards I thought this would be the perfect card to give it a try.
Card Recipe:

1. Card base of Vet Vanilla (4 1/4 x 11 folded at 5 1/2)
2. Adhere strip of blushing bride DSP (1 1/2 x 4 1/4) from level  hostess packto bottom
3. Use scallop border punch on piece of 1 1/2 x 4 1/4  blushing bride card stock. Layer on top of DSP.
4. Folcal point is made of of 3 layers 3 1/8 x 3 1/8 blushhing bride (bottom). 2 7/8 x 2 7/8 layer very vanilla (this is stamped). Overlay 2 7/8 x 2 7/8 layer vellum.
5. On the stamping layer create a mask using  large heart punch. Place in center of vanilla piece. Sponge blushing bride ink over edges of mask. Before removing the mask, stamp background in soft suede. I used bella toile. Overlay vellum & stamp image in soft suede. Adhere vellum with glue dots & cover with pearls to hide adhesive. Attach to blushing bride square and attach to card. Finsh with sentiment on Kraft card strip adhered with  dimensionals.

Happy Valentines Day

I created this card using the inlaid embossing technique that I first saw on Song of my Heart blog. I stamped the heart trio from I {Heart} Hearts in several shades of pink (pink pirouette, Melon Mambo, Rose Red & Cherry Cobbler) punched out with the trio heart punch & adhered to a whisper white panel. I ran the whole panel through the big shot with the square lattice die. The Pink Pirouette is very light. I let some of the hearts run off the page then trimmed the overhang before adhering the panel to the base card of Melon Mambo.

Clearly For You

I cased this idea from Mary Fish. She had a monochromatic scheme in Old Olive. I wanted to try this color scheme & use the inlaid embossing technique. I Stamped the various images from Clearly for You in tempting turquoise, punched out with the 1 1/4 square punch & inked the edges in Concord Crush. I adhered the sqaures to a Concord Crush panel & ran through the Big Shot in the square lattice embossing folder. I used tempting turquoise for the base card.
